Format:

Qualifying, Heat 1, Heat 2
Pre-Final, Final, 3 podium places

Due to a very bad storm on the Sunday afternoon, it was impossible to run the Finals – results are based on the Pre-Finals.

Cadet:

There were no cadets entered in this round of the Championship.

Junior:

In the Junior Category, entries were opened up to include karts with Rotax engines. These entries are shown in green in the entry list on the facing page and are not eligible for Championship points.

Among the eligible Junior karters, Daniel Woodroof took pole followed by Brendan Paul Anthony and Nayan Chatterjee. In the Rotax kart group, Amir Azhan Safuan qualified first followed by Long Mohamad Long Ariff and Jehan Daruvala.

In Heat 1 Daniel Woodroof encountered a mechanical difficulty and did not finish. Brendan headed the eligible karter group. In the Rotax group, Long Mohamad took an early lead but in the end had to settle for third behind Amir and Jehan.

In Heat 2 Daniel elected to save his tyres and did not race. The Rotax group was led to the flag by Amir followed by Jehan and Long Mohamad.

In the Pre-Final Daniel had an easy race to come in ahead of Brendan and Nayan. In the Rotax group there was a battle at the front between Amir and Long Mohamad but Amir kept his nose in front and crossed the line ahead of Long Mohamad, followed by Shaqeer Haire Saiful Rizal.

125 Open:

In qualifying it was Calvin Seibl ahead of Izzat Hanif Norazlan and Chen Jet Choong.

In Heat 1, Izzat was at the head of the pack going into the first corner and held the lead for a few laps. He and Calvin pulled away from the rest of the karters and the two of them swopped places several times with Calvin eventually crossing the line first. This pattern was repeated in Heat 2 with the same result.

Calvin took the lead from the start of the Pre-Final and maintained that with a good lead until the finish. He was followed to the line by Brandon Lee and Izzat.

The rain started as this race finished heralding the end of racing for the day. Also due to the weather, the normal podium presentations were not possible.
